Ecological Solid Waste Management

Republic Act 9003: RA 9003 (aka Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) is a law that pushes for an ecological approach in the management of the wastes people generate. In particular, it calls on all to practice the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) as a solution to the growing waste problem of the country. The government is intensifying its implementation particularly in making sure that household waste materials are properly segregated and are taken out during the prescribed days of collection according to types of waste.

However, there are still a number of households who do not know how to do the 3Rs. You can help by making sure that people at home practice the 3Rs and follow the collection schedules in your village or barangay.

You can make a difference by doing small sacrifices and simple actions everyday.
