Posted November 05, 2008 by Rain Pangindian and Kristian Bayle

Under the flagship of La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) Development Office, in cooperation with the High School, Grade School and Adult Night High School, a campus-wide project called Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for Tomorrow (R34T) was launched last July 29 at St. Benilde Gym.

To familiarize the students with the causes and effects of global warming, Mr. Vic Reyes of LSGH Batch '74 served as the resource speaker. He discussed various ways and means to protect the environment and come up with alternative means of putting trash into good use.

On the other hand, Mr. Ben Eusebio, Director, La Sallian Institute for Environment (LIFE) discussed the damage brought by the decreasing number of trees in the country. He encouraged students to support La Salle system's "One Million Trees" project. Furthermore, he also emphasized that the student's continuous support to the Clean As You Go (CLAYGO) campaign is a big step for the success of R34T.

The one-hour program concluded as the students, led by Angelo Andres, recited the Creed to Mother Earth.
