Philosophy of Education
As Filipino Lasallian educators, we believe:
- That the primary aim of La Salle Green Hills is the Christian formation of its students.
- That each young person is a unique and special expression of God's love in the world.
- That the core of an excellent academic program is the Gospel Message from which all other disciplines emanate.
- That a relevant academic program is designed to prepare the students for responsible citizenship and effective leadership.
- That to educate is to touch hearts; hence, education is primarily a dialogue of relationships.
- That nurturing in the students a special concern for the poor will prepare them to be critical agents in the transformation of society.
- That education is a ministry that is carried out most effectively through a community of adults working in association with one another.
- That when we offer our students a humane and Christian education, we are living out our cause as lay members of the Church to be messengers of evangelization.
- That we are called to continuously witness the Gospel values with faith and zeal.
- That genuine Filipino education focuses on upholding all that is life-giving in our culture and ensures that the ferment of the Gospel renews and enriches.
